CPSI Acquires EDI Power Service, Inc.
Critical Power Solutions Inc. (CPSI), one of the nation’s largest independent providers of critical power system support for data centers, has announced that it has acquired West Chester, Ohio-based EDI Power Services, Inc. (EDI).
“The Midwest is a very important market, and our acquisition of EDI will enhance our ability to better serve the region with an extremely experienced and talented in-place team, providing additional wall-to-rack product solutions for new and existing clients,” says CPSI president & CEO Jeff Jones. “We have an ever-expanding national client base, and adding additional presence in the Midwest helps support our service growth strategies.”
“As founder of EDI, it is vitally important to me that I partner with a highly respected, successful provider of premium power solutions that shares the same values and embodies the same customer-centric culture as EDI, as well as having a large geographic footprint,” says EDI president Brad Deaton. “We presently serve clients in 32 states, and this merger strengthens our staffing across the country, enhancing our coverage as well as providing exciting opportunities in career growth for our team members. It is a wonderful fit that excites me greatly!”
Jones says the two companies have 35 combined years representing Mitsubishi Electric’s state-of-the-art Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems, and that the acquisition advances CPSI’s mission of controlled growth to increase its presence as the leading supplier of critical power equipment across the country. “This is a great next logical step in EDI’s continued growth plans,” says Jones. According to Jones, Seattle, WA-based CPSI continues to explore additional cities and opportunities for expanding in the North American critical power market.
The EDI leadership team will remain in its entirety, and EDI will continue doing business as EDI Power Services, Inc. with Jones as President and CEO and Deaton as executive Vice President.
