The first thing anyone should know about CPSI is that safety is our first priority. Our staff are licensed professionals trained in critical power system safety practices. Our safety program policies and procedures have been developed with the assistance of, and are regularly audited by the third-party safety specialists, Safety Matters.
CPSI has a four-tiered safety system:
The First Tier
We hold regularly scheduled formal training in safe work practices for critical power systems.
Training topics include:
- First aid certification for all employees
- Lock-out, Tag-out procedures
- Arc-Flash protective gear application
- Non-essential personnel in work areas, policies, procedures and physical barriers
- Battery System Safety
The Second Tier
We hold regularly scheduled safety meetings where safety issues are identified and discussed.
The Third Tier
We conduct project specific safety planning where Methods Of Procedures (MOP) are created refined and studied. CPSI critical power system MOP's are always focused first on safety.
The Fourth Tier
We conduct peer to peer prior review of MOP and analysis of safety issues regarding the specific task at hand.
Safety Is No Accident
CPSI maintains a safe working environment through intent, training, practice, and unwavering commitment.
